I've just extended our veg patch to be approx 7ft x 10 ft (2m x 3.5m), and that gives me around 70 1ft^2 squares. So far, I've only filled less than half of these squares, and it gives a much better sense of order to the veg patch than my previous method of planting stuff where there was a bare patch of soil.

I agree about Mel's humour. The book is a lot more practical than the website.

SFG looks interesting although Mel's humour page left a lot to be desired! What size garden do you have for SFG? Have you simply marked out a patch in one of your veggie patches or started a new bed somewhere?

BTW, nice not to have to stare at your underpants now when I check your blog!
